OKLAHOMA CITY -- The struggling Oklahoma economy has forced several state agencies to get their furlough plans in place for the new year.
Earlier this month the state doubled its budget cuts from five to 10 percent. The state has now approved furlough plans for six agencies.
The agencies include the Office of Juvenile Affairs, the Department of Tourism and Recreation, the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System, the Office of Disability Concerns and the Pardon and Parole Board.
Officials say the furloughs are limited to up to 23 days per year.
