Five Drunk Drivers Arrested at Del City Checkpoint

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office arrested five people overnight Friday at a sobriety checkpoint in Del City.

DEL CITY -- The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office arrested five drunk drivers overnight Friday at a sobriety checkpoint in Del City.

Del City police and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office conducted the checkpoint at Southeast 44th and South Bryant.

Police arrested12 people and handed out 51 traffic citations. Five people were arrested for driving under the influence, five were arrested for outstanding warrants, and two others were arrested for driving under suspension.

A total of 438 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.
