NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma guards Whitney Hand and Danielle Robinson are among 15 players competing for 12 spots on the U.S. women's basketball roster for the World University Games.
A weeklong training camp begins Thursday in Colorado Springs, Colo., and ends with the team leaving next week for Serbia to compete in the games.
Hand and Robinson made the initial cut after 29 players tried out for the team last month.
Oklahoma is one of three schools that had multiple players make it this far. National champion Connecticut has three finalists, and Stanford has two left after Jayne Appel was forced to withdraw because of knee surgery.
