OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after five hour standoff with police in southwest Oklahoma City.
Tuyen Vo, 50, was arrested on an animal cruelty complaint.
The standoff started when police received a call from a resident in the 3100 block of S.W. 89th Street saying a man was throwing things outside his apartment. On the way to the scene officers received another call that the man used a golf club to kill a neighbor's cat, Capt. Steve McCool said.
McCool said Vo went back into his home and placed furniture in front of the doors to keep police out.
The Oklahoma City SWAT team entered the home and removed Vo about five hours later, McCool said.
Vo remained in the Oklahoma County jail Tuesday morning.
