Man Shot in Chest, Killed in Home Invasion

The state medical examiner's office says an Ottawa County man killed during a home invasion died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

FAIRLAND, Oklahoma - The state medical examiner's office says an Ottawa County man killed during a home invasion died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Investigators say 64-year-old Sam Sanders was killed early Tuesday after two men broke into his home and tied up his 64-year-old wife Lillian and their 20-year-old grandson.

Authorities say it appears Sanders then was shot.

The killers remain at large.
