STILLWATER, Okla. -- OSU men's and women's basketball teams hit the hardwood Saturday in their first exhibition game of the season.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls both claimed victories over their opponents.
Obi Muonelo scored a total of 18 points during the Cowboy's match against Langston. Six other players also reached double figures, clinching the 113-65 victory.
Muonelo went 4 of 8 from 3-point range for the Cowboys, who finished 14 of 36 from behind the arc while running new coach Travis Ford's high-octane offense.
James Anderson and Terrel Harris each scored 16 points for OSU, with Anderson adding eight rebounds and Harris adding seven steals. Ibrahima Thomas had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
On the other side of the hardwood, Daniel Thomas led Langston with 19 points while Lance Sullivan had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lions never led, committed 28 turnovers and trailed by as many as 58 points late in the game.
OSU will open the regular season on Friday at home against Texas-San Antonio.
The Cowgirls also recorded a victory, beating the Oklahoma Flyers, 126-60.
Andrea Riley, who played only 20 minutes, managed to tally 27 points, two assists and six steals. Riley's stats, along with six other Cowgirls who collected points in the double digits, and forcing 30 turnovers contributed to the win.
The Cowgirls will face the #8 ranked Duke in their season opener, November 14.
