Suspected kidnapper jailed

OKLAHOMA CITY - The man responsible for taking a shooting victim to an Oklahoma City television station, was jailed Sunday.

Police Lt. Wade Gourley said Matthew Koch was arrested after he took a wounded woman to television station KOCO-5 Saturday morning.

Koch is suspected of kidnapping the woman from a Walgreen store in Evansville, Indiana.

Gourley said that about 7 a.m., the man called the station from the parking lot and said he had a woman inside his vehicle who had been shot.

Koch is awaiting extradition on kidnapping charges. The woman was taken to a hospital and her injuries are not life-threatening.
