Friends and family gathered Sunday to welcome 97 Marines home to Oklahoma.
After spending seven months in Iraq, the Marines said they're glad to be back in the Sooner state.
"It's always good coming home," First Sgt. Richard Simmons said.
Lance Corporal Kory Youngblood Kelton's was greeted with lots of hugs and pats on the back.
"It feels good to be home, there's trees," he said. "Trees are good."
After a long trip back he's ready to take care of business.
"I'm going to Taco Bell," he said.
Lance Corporal Landon Awbrey hasn't seen his little girl in more than half a year.
"It feels awesome," he said. "It feels great. I'm just glad to be home with my daughter."
Awbrey said improvements are being made in Iraq.
"Things are real good over there," he said. "Things are so good that it's boring at times, but we're making good progress every day."
