Keeping the roads safe will be top priority for Oklahoma lawmen New Year's Eve.
Officers will crack down on drunk drivers, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Chris West said.
"This is one of those periods where unfortunately we know there's a lot of great people in Oklahoma that make some bad decisions during this time of the year so we're going to do everything that we can to step up not only our visibility. but our enforcement," West said.
Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Paco Balderrama said federal grant money will help pay for extra patrols Monday night.
On New Year's Eve, Tipsy Tow will provide free rides to intoxicated revelers in Oklahoma City, Norman and Lawton. The program is sponsored by the American Automobile Association.
