Oklahoma Gas and Electric isn't taking any chances during this ice storm. They have crews on stand-by ready to begin working if the storm knocks out power anywhere in the state.
OG&E doesn't expect there be enough ice accumulation on power lines for them to snap this time, but there are some left over problems from the December storm that could cause electric outages.
"There's always the chance that there are some trees and limbs weakened from the storm in December that might not take a lot to give way," Gil Broyles, OG&E, said. "So, there's always the possibility of scattered outages, but hopefully those will be minimal and of short duration."
If you do loose power, you can call OG&E at 405-272-9595 to let them know your electricity is out.
