Yesterday, dozens of officers led the procession that escorted Meyer's remains to the funeral home. At his funeral, hundreds of officers are expected to attend, looking after their own until the end.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Oklahoma Concerns of Police Survivors (OK C.O.P.S.). An account has been set up at the DPS Federal Credit Union in Oklahoma City.

Meyer is survived by his wife, and two daughters.
