On October 10th, News 9 This Morning ran a story about the top reasons why Oklahoma students drop out of school (bullying and family emergencies).

A group of students from Midwest City High School saw this on our channel and wanted to do something to prevent it from happening at MCHS.

The following day, the group of students hung a “wall” of encouraging notes for students who are having a difficult time to take.

Within days, the “wall” was refilled four times with notes.

Because of the success of the idea, students from Midwest City High School’s Key Club are making it a permanent thing at the school.

On Wednesday, October 19th at 3:00 pm, students will be unveiling their formal plan to prevent dropouts at Midwest City.
