People staying at a hotel in northwest Oklahoma City are giving us more details about a deadly shooting early Tuesday morning.
Oklahoma City Police received several calls just after midnight about gunshots fired at the Motel 6 near Northwest Expressway and Rockwell. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered an adult male victim deceased. Police said he appeared to have been shot to death.
Police confirmed that homicide detectives were called to the scene.
David Jackson was staying in a room on the second floor with his daughter and grandson. He said a loud argument could be heard down the hall. He requested hotel management to assign them a new room. Just as they were debating to move, he said four to five shots rang out.
"When you hear a gun shot, you hit the floor. She didn't know what to do, so we just lied down until the shot stopped and prayed to God that we made it," Jackson said.
No arrests have been made and no suspects have been arrested. Police have not released the identity of the victim, pending notification of family members.
