On Monday morning, thousands of teachers, students and parents are expected to attend a rally at the state capitol. Educators want more funding for teachers and fewer mandated tests.

Dressed as "Academic Man", Guthrie teacher Kathy Ice has to be in class on Monday, so she decided she would walk all the way from Guthrie to the state capitol on Sunday to represent all the teachers who can't attend.

“We don't want to let our voices not be heard and so I kinda thought you know I used to run and you know I got it in me to do this,” said Ice.

Organizers of the rally are hoping as many as 50,000 people will attend.
