Man Arrested After 3 Pounds Of Cocaine Found During OKC Traffic Stop

A man was arrested after authorities said they found three pounds of cocaine in his car during a traffic stop in Oklahoma City.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, on Monday, February 2, a deputy saw a driver make an illegal lane change on I-40 near the I-44 junction. The deputy stopped the driver, 42-year-old Paul Samuel-Kevin Cooper.

While speaking with Cooper, the deputy said he requested an Oklahoma City Police K9. The K9 immediately alerted that there were drugs inside the car. 

The deputy then searched the car and found a suitcase with two bundles of pure cocaine that weighed three pounds. According to the Sheriff's office, the street value of 3-pounds worth of uncut cocaine can easily be worth up to $120,000.

Cooper was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of aggravated trafficking cocaine. He is being held on $25,000 bond.
