The heat dome is sticking around for a while longer. Temperatures will soar back into the upper 90s on Tuesday under sunny skies.
Take the heat seriously, the “feel like” temperatures will likely be between 100 and 105 degrees. Take plenty of breaks and find a shady spot if you must be outside.
There is a little relief on the way, but it will be brief. A cold front comes through Thursday night and into Friday. Rain chances become more likely Thursday through Saturday morning.
Temperatures will fall to the mid-80s by the end of the week with the additional cloud cover and raindrops.
We're keeping an eye on the extended forecast. Tropical Storm Dolly could potentially bring some much needed rainfall in early September.
