Right now, the manhunt is on for Shane Pitts and Justin Moore, who are wanted for a deadly shooting near Tecumseh on Saturday.

Behind a locked gate on Bethel Road in far southeast Pottawatomie County is where Shane Pitts lives and it is where Pottawatomie County deputies came on Sunday to serve a search warrant.

"We were looking for additional guns and ammunitions for safety reasons," said Lt. Jimmy Brewer with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office.

He says they searched Pitts' home, and when they did, they did indeed find some ammunition, a few guns and an inert hand grenade locked up in a safe. But they know both Pitts and his accomplice Justin Moore have at least one rifle with them that they used on Saturday night.

"Yes," said Brewer. "He (Pitts) is considered armed and dangerous."

Deputies and witnesses say the two opened fire on a truck full of people outside a home on Gaddy Road.

Keevin Dixson was one of the people inside that truck.

"We were pulling out of the driveway got to the end of the driveway," said Dixson. "And about that time pop, pop, pop, pop, pop! It was Shane that was shooting."

Dixson says a bullet grazed his arm. And his friend David Woods is in the hospital after taking a bullet to his arm and hip. Another girl, Leslie Kent, was also in the truck but was unharmed. But Dixson says his girlfriend, Andrea Hollis, was struck and killed.

"Wasn't her time to go," said Dixson with tears in his eyes.

Dixson says both Pitts and Moore had an issue with him and Pitts' half-brother in the past.

"He shot his brother over two months ago, the DA didn't do nothing, didn't press no charges," said Dixson. "Now how's that justice?"

But the detective defends the DA.

"I can assure you we have a great District Attorney in Richard Smothermon," said Brewer. "And if there was any possibility for charges to be filed, they would have been filed."

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office confirms they had some reports of issues in the past with the group, but claim witnesses were reluctant to come forward.

"Somebody's dead now," said Dixson. "An innocent bystander!"

For now, the manhunt continues.

"We're encouraging everyone to be on the lookout for these two," said Brewer. "If they see the pickup, if they see them, please contact your local authorities. Or contact the sheriff's office right away. We've got to get these men in custody."

The two were last seen driving a 2008 dark colored GMC one ton pickup truck with Oklahoma plates 617-FCF with a PBR rodeo sticker on the back. The truck also has 20" Rock Star rims.
