Court documents reveal new details in the beating death of a metro father. Robert Williams was found dead in the back of a pickup on Monday, February 6 in northeast Oklahoma City. Police found Williams beaten, stripped to his underwear and covered in sand and oil. Now family members are learning more about the night police found the body.

"It's hurtful to think of someone doing [Williams] that way," Williams' brother-in-law Theodis Manning said. "It's terrible."
Two search warrants filed in district court Friday give a glimpse into what police found at the crime scene. Investigators say they discovered Williams with obvious trauma to his head. His body was lying in the back of his own pickup truck, and it was practically nude. Police say Williams was shot numerous times, and it appears he was beaten with a crow bar or a tire tool. Family members say the suspected killer, Henry Allen Long, was more than a friend.
"He was like somewhat of a family mechanic," Manning said. " Especially being someone that [Williams] knew. We're shocked that [Long] would do something like this."
Police tracked down Long after discovering phone records linking him to Williams. Officers arrested Long on two separate, active felony warrants. Police are finding evidence at a building where investigators say Long worked as a mechanic. Police are also combing through Long's car.
As the investigation continues, Williams' three boys are left coping with the loss of their father and members of Oklahoma City's northeast side community are left asking why.
"How many people have to die before we wake up and come together as a community to eliminate these type of situations from happening," Manning said.
Family members of Williams are now planning a funeral. News 9 has learned the funeral will be held Saturday, February 18 at 1 p.m. at True Vine Church located at N.E. 36th Street and Spencer in Spencer.
