Man Arrested After Stripping Naked in Middle of Broadway Extension

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man who stopped his car and started taking off his clothes in the middle of an Oklahoma City freeway has been arrested.

Police received a call around 5 a.m. from a driver who reported the man had stopped his car in the southbound lanes of the Broadway Extension near Britton Road.

When officers arrived they found the caller blocking traffic behind the man who was outside his car in the middle lane, police said.

Southbound Broadway Extension was narrowed to one lane briefly as officers took the man  into custody.

Police identified the man as David Williams, 39. Donald Shelton is one of the man's aliases, according to police. He was arrested on complaints of being under the influence of a narcotic and being naked in public.

A female passenger in the car, Tankia Huffman, 29, also was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drug possession.
