Cleveland Public Schools Superintendent Resigns Unexpectedly

The Cleveland Public Schools superintendent has resigned unexpectedly.

Aaron Espolt's resignation comes ahead of a school board meeting, which was scheduled to discuss his possible termination.

Espolt has served as the superintendent of Cleveland Public Schools since 2014. The district has not said what prompted his resignation.
