Woman In Critical Condition After Shooting, Tulsa Police Say

Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting that took place at an apartment just south of Interstate 244 near Garnett.

Police said the victim is in critical condition, and we're told she'll have a second surgery Monday, Oct. 14.

The victim's boyfriend, Edward Davis, told officers his girlfriend was in the bathroom when he heard a gunshot. Police said Davis told them she had been shot in the stomach.

Officers said the victim was outside the apartment when they showed up, and she was immediately sent to the hospital.

Homicide detectives became involved.

Police originally said Davis had been arrested, but News On 6 has learned he was not arrested and is not in custody at this time.
