A man is in jail after leading police and troopers on a chase and then crashing an SUV into an apartment building.
troopers said Christopher Matthews crashed a SUV into an apartment building.
Troopers said Matthews admitted to them to smoking PCP.
Matthews is facing multiple charges including driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer.
Troopers said this started near I-44 and Yale when a trooper tried to pull Matthews over for speeding.
They said he was going around 90 miles per hour when he led troopers on a chase.
OHP said Matthews pulled over around Harvard where he let out a passenger, and the passenger climbed over a fence and ran.
Matthews then took off again before crashing into an apartment building near 60th and Newport then tried to run from troopers.
A trooper then tackled Matthews on a windshield as he was trying to run from OHP and Tulsa Police.
OHP said Matthews was fighting the arrest and elbowed a trooper in the face.
They said Matthews has previous charges of assault on officers and felony eluding charges.
