Tulsa Police: Shooting Suspect In Custody At Shoreline Apartments

Tulsa Police are investigating after one man was shot at the Shoreline Apartments near 21st and Mingo.

Police say when they arrived they found the 18-year-old victim had been shot in the leg. A rifle was found in the parking lot and witnesses told officer the suspect had shot the victim after an argument.

Police say the suspect swam across the complex lake and then ran south along the Mingo Creek Drainage corridor. Officers found the suspect as he ran into an underground drainage pipe that is approximately 4 feet in diameter. The suspect eventually surrendered to police.

Jayverre Aguilar was arrested for shooting with intent to kill and firearms possession. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
