Harold Kuntz said farewell to News On 6, Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma after six years of covering sports for the people in northeastern Oklahoma. Harold has taken a position in Kansas City.
We'll remember his tradition of wearing a tuxedo on each New Year's Eve sportscast, his favorite expression: KAPIEYOW! (we're not sure on the spelling of that one), and of course - that time he went viral as he learned on air that his beloved Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl.
Harold was the weekend sports anchor and reporter. He moved into that position in 2016 after being a sports reporter for 3 and a half years. He came to Tulsa from Hagerstown, MD where he served as Sports Director at WHAG.
In his time in Tulsa, Harold covered almost everything Green Country has to offered. From stickball to the Final Four, bowl games with the University of Tulsa and serving as color commentator for high school state championships in football and basketball, he's been happy to tell the stories in the community.
He's most excited about being the 1st in the state to interview the Thunder's Terrance Ferguson and the Jaguars Aaron Colvin along with a multitude of interviews with players from the High School to professional level.
Within the community, Harold helped with multiple organizations around Tulsa, including the North Tulsa Rotary Club and Wayman Tisdale Foundation.
Harold also wed his beautiful bride, Marcia, during his time in Tulsa. News On 6 Meteorologist Mike Grogan was a groomsman in their wedding.
A Nashville native, Harold attended Syracuse University.
Here are just a few of Harold's stories to enjoy, but they may make you miss him even more.
