Police say a man is dead and two others injured when an SUV they were in crashed into a tree late Monday near a Tulsa intersection.

Man Killed When SUV Crashes Into Tulsa Tree

Police say a man is dead and two others injured when an SUV they were in crashed into a tree late Monday near a Tulsa intersection.

Officers were called just after 10:30 p.m. to the crash at North Boston and East Latimer Street.

Police showed up to find a Chevy Trailblazer that had collided with a large tree. They say 37-year-old Phillip Seals died at the scene and another man and woman were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

"It appears that the vehicle was traveling south on North Boston at a high rate of speed, over-corrected and slid sideways into the tree," said TPD Sgt. Steven Florea.

The names of the two people injured in the wreck were not released.
