Police arrest a man suspected of robbery at a popular downtown Tulsa bar early Wednesday.
The man is identified as Maurice Owens of Tulsa. Officers say Owens entered The Fur Shop bar and demanded money.
Witnesses say he implied they had a gun with him, but no one in the bar saw the gun.
Police say Owen was able to get out with the cash box, but dropped it in the bar's parking lot in the 500 block of East 3rd Street before driving away.
Witnesses got a good look at the getaway car and described the silver Nissan Altima to police. An officer spotted it and followed it to a convenience store in the 3600 block of South Peoria.
They found two men in the car and searched it, finding a gun inside the car.
Police took the two men in for questioning and discovered one of the men is connected to another crime.
They said employees from the "Big Easy" bar in Tulsa identified one of the men who had robbed the bar in the 6500 block of South Peoria on Christmas Day.
