Victim Responds To 14-Year-Old Arrested For Sexual Battery

A 14-year-old is behind bars accused of groping at least three women near 51st and Yale. The teen is now at a juvenile detention center.

14-Year-Old Arrested In Tulsa Serial Groping Case 

Police say Monica is the third victim in the past month OF a teeN THEY SAY grabbed her near 51st and Yale. She says she was relieved after she heard the news OF HIS ARREST.

"It gives me peace of mind one of my fears was him being out there and attacking other women and so knowing he is in a place where he can get help that makes me really happy that he's off the streets for right now," said Monica.

The other two cases happened across the street at the YMCA parking lot. They caught a picture of him on their surveillance cameras. Monica says she was surprised when she learned the boy's age.

"Very shocked about his age when he approached he looked very young so knowing how young he is, makes it even more disturbing and upsetting," said Monica.

Monica says she felt disgusted, angry, and fearful when she was grabbed. She says she was able to break away, screamed, told him she was calling the police and chased after him until the 911 dispatcher told her to stop. She has this message for the suspect.

"Just because a person wasn't physically harmed doesn't mean it's okay to ever touch a person in any way and I hope that he learns and that this is something he never does again," said Monica.

And she also wants others to know.
 
"Personal safety, personal boundaries, under no circumstance is it okay for any reason to touch another woman to touch another man it's not ever okay," said Monica.
