Adair County Man Suspected Of Shooting Wife And Daughter Caught

The man suspected of killing his wife and shooting his 8-year-old daughter is in custody.

According to the Adair County Sheriff's Office, Aubrey Johnson called authorities around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, to report that his wife and child had been shot. Deputies say Johnson's wife was found shot and killed outside the couple's home.

The Sheriff's Office said the wife had been shot once in the head.

Johnson is also suspected of shooting his 8-year-old old daughter in the face, but she survived.
