Kansas Woman's Home Floods After Heavy Rains

An Independence, Kansas woman is salvaging what is left of her home after heavy rains brought more than a foot of water rushing inside Tuesday night.

Kayli Blackburn woke up to a musty smell and heard running water. She came downstairs to her belongings floating.

Kayli said she was just in shock.

"I didn't know what to do ... it was all soaked," she said.

Kayli said multiple other houses on the street had basement flooding as well. Now she is just worried about the storm coming in Wednesday night.
