The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations is investigating an officer-involved shooting that has left one man dead Sunday.
Officials say officers from multiple agencies were involved in a pursuit with the suspect when he crashed his vehicle near U.S. Highway 377 in Seminole County.
The suspect reportedly pointed a weapon at the officers causing the officers to discharge their weapons, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s office public information officer. The suspect died at the scene.
Police say the situation began when Prague Police Department received a call that the male suspect was assaulting a female while driving. After Prague Police Officers identified the vehicle a pursuit took place with several agencies assisting. Prague Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police, Seminole County Sheriff's Office, and Seminole Police Department were all involved in the pursuit and or the shooting.
OSBI and OHP are investigating the scene.
