A third wrongful death lawsuit has been filed over a natural gas rig explosion in Oklahoma that killed three Oklahoma men, one from Texas and one from Colorado.
Matthew Smith was one of the Oklahoma men killed in the explosion.
His widow, Julie Smith, filed the lawsuit Wednesday alleging negligence by Red Mountain Energy and Red Mountain Operating of Oklahoma City, and Patterson-UTI Drilling and Patterson-UTI Energy of Houston.
Two other lawsuits have also been filed. One by Betty Jo Cunningham, widow of Roger Cunningham, and one by Dianna Waldridge, widow of Parker Waldridge.

The January 22nd explosion killed Matt Smith, 29, of McAlester; Parker Waldridge, 60, of Crescent; Roger Cunningham, 55, of Seminole; Cody Risk, 26, of Wellington, Colorado; and Josh Ray, 35, of Fort Worth.
