Checotah Police Warn Of A Fundraising Scam

Checotah Police are warning folks about a fundraising scam.

The department is raising money for the family of Assistant Chief Justin Durrett, who died after a car crash.

Officers say someone claiming to be with the American Police Officer Alliance is calling people asking for donations.

The department says those calls are nothing more than a scam.
