A group of military veterans boarded a flight to Washington, D.C. early Wednesday for the Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight.

The 76 veterans who served in World War 2, Korea and Vietnam left Tulsa International Airport for a trip to our nation's capital.

The Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight takes them on an all-expenses-paid trip so they can see the memorials honoring their service.

One veteran on the trip has never seen those memorials in DC.

"It's a once in a lifetime thing. I've got some friends, their names on the wall. I'm going to find them give my respects," said Navy veteran Robert Myers.

The veterans are scheduled to return to Tulsa Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. if you'd like to welcome them home.
