The break of the six-inch main sent water and rocks shooting high into the air near the corner of 40th Street and 135th East Place late Sunday.
Water department workers spend several hours repairing that break.
One resident, Daniel Taylor said he moved his car to avoid being damaged by the fountain of water.
The City of Tulsa says the break left between 10 to 15 homes in the neighborhood without water.
Just after 8 a.m. crews says all those homes should again have water.
