Broken Arrow announced their new acting police chief following the retirement of David Boggs on August 22. Deputy Chief Brandon Berryhill, a 23 year veteran of the Broken Arrow Police Department, will serve as acting chief, a news release states.
Berryhill has been deputy chief for 6 of those 23 years. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and has bachelor's and master's degrees in criminal justice.

The city is interviewing candidates to replace Boggs who served BAPD for six years. City Manager Michael Spurgeon expects to complete the recruiting process by the end of October, according to the release.
