Remington Tower Tenants Get First Look Inside Businesses Since Tornado

Tenants at the Remington Tower are finally getting their first look inside their businesses and getting a chance to get some of their stuff.

The Remington Tower is keeping public access to a minimum, and they are running a tight schedule to get the tenants in and out quickly. 

Since the August 6 tornado hit the building, it's been off limits for the most part as the city of Tulsa works to assess its structural integrity.

Multiple windows were broken and there's more damage inside - damage no one has been able to get a look at just yet. 

Although the building is very much in bad shape, Remington tower representatives said they are making progress and in fact they were able to get tenants in sooner than expected. 

Initially, they thought it would take at least another week. 

In the meantime, an outside group is working with business owners to give them free workspace at least for now. 

Although the tenants are able to get inside, they are only able to leave with items they can carry out in a box, so no furniture or bulky items. 

Because they want the process to be done very quickly, the tenants are being let in based on which floor their business is on. If they come to the tower outside of their time slot, they won't be able to get in. 

The owner of the building says tenants located on floors 2 through 5 will be able to get into their offices starting Thursday.  Floors 6 through 15, plus the first floor will have access on Friday and tenants on the 16th and 17th floors will have access on Saturday.
