Effective immediately, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has lifted the statewide Oklahoma Highway Patrol mileage restriction, allowing OHP to resume normal operations.
DPS wrote in a June 1 news release that the move was possible after Gov. Mary Fallin signed the state budget.
The mileage restriction was placed into effect in December 2016 in order to make up for an FY17 budget cut.
