Sapulpa Police, Creek County deputies, OHP and the ATF are investigating after two bombs were found in a car outside the courthouse in Sapulpa.
The two devices were taken away from the scene and were transported to be disassembled, rendered safe and analyzed.
Sapulpa Police said they have identified a person or persons of interest but are not releasing any more information.
Police said they did locate a vehicle of interest near Dudley Avenue and North Main Street in Sapulpa – a blue, older model Chevy pickup with a white hood and damage to the right front of the vehicle.
It all started Tuesday evening, when police said a woman at the courthouse went to her vehicle, saw that her tires were slashed, then saw what she believed to be an explosive inside the vehicle and called police.
Police initially blocked off several blocks around the courthouse and made some evacuations.
The Creek County Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Service was scheduled for Tuesday but was canceled. The memorial is to honor officers who gave their lives in the line of duty in Sapulpa and Creek County. They haven't decided a date for rescheduling.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact either the ATF or Sapulpa Police.
