A Tulsa Public Schools bus carrying five students was involved in a collision at Harvard & Admiral Tuesday morning.
Police said the bus crashed into a parked SUV in a QuikTrip parking lot after it swerved to miss a car turning out of the parking lot.
They said the bus jumped the curb and crashed into the SUV. Police said the driver of the other car drove away and never came back.
Ollie Piper said he was inside the store when the bus hit his SUV.
“Heard somebody say a car got hit. I was like, ‘Wow, okay.’ Came back out, found out it was my car,” he said.
Tulsa Police said five kids and the driver were on the bus. EMSA treated the kids for minor injuries.
Piper said he’s glad everyone was okay and that he wasn’t in the SUV at the time.
“That can be, hopefully, fixed. But, you know, lives can’t,” he said.
Police said they will not ticket the driver.
