Gutierrez was driving a car in downtown Tulsa with her boyfriend, who police said had stolen guns, drugs and electronics from Le.
Witnesses said Gutierrez had been driving on Houston Street when someone in another car fired three or four shots into her car. She was hit in the chest and killed. Her boyfriend had also been in the car, but he was not hurt.
Tulsa detectives said Le's apartment had been burglarized prior to the shooting and Le believed Gutierrez's boyfriend had something to do with it. That's when Le reportedly said "he was going to kill him."
Family members told News On 6 that Le's girlfriend and Gutierrez were good friends, and in light of recent events, they weren't shocked when they found out Le had been arrested.
Last week, Rey Reyes, the man accused of selling Le the gun, was sentenced to five years in prison for accesory after the fact.
