Even if you're not a big baseball fan, Wednesday night was a historic one for America's pastime.

The Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians played in game seven of the World Series; and the event is having a big impact on some area businesses.

Savastano’s Pizzeria is where you'll find the diehard Cubs fans in the Tulsa area. The owner said 400 people were there Wednesday night, all for the game.

For Eric and Jeff Smothers, game seven was a big deal.

"Yes, it's a very big deal," Jeff said.

The brothers grew up obsessed with the Cubs, and they're regulars at Savastano's.

"Been a great year, literally we've watched pretty much every game this year," Eric said.

The brothers sit at the same table every time and they wear the same shirts every time.

Eric said, "Everybody here gets it. There's camaraderie, high-fiving - just an enjoyable experience. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Frankie Savastano Junior and his family own the Chicago deep-dish restaurant. They're originally from the Chicago area, so, naturally, this is home base for Cubs fans.

"We had a packed house in the bar, our third floor was overflowing," he said.

Frankie said it's been that way the entire series; fans having to pre-order their pizzas and stake out tables hours in advance.

It’s definitely good for business, Frankie said. And even better for the sport he loves.

"It means the world, yeah," he said.

For the record, we did try to look up some Cleveland Indians bars but we couldn't find any here in Tulsa.
