Police in Sapulpa are looking for several people after an overnight home invasion in what they call a quiet neighborhood on the southwest side of town.
The homeowners are recovering, but they are very shaken up after police say they were assaulted in their home early Thursday morning.
It happened near Gunner Loop and Wickham Road, south of the Walmart on Highway 117. Detectives are still collecting evidence, trying to figure who did this. A supervisor on scene said as they know, this appears to be a random crime.
Around 1:30, police said three people burst into a home, woke the homeowners up from a dead sleep, and started beating them up. They then stole the couple's car.
Police found the car 20 minutes later - still running - on Walnut Street. They used K-9 teams to try and find the robbers but couldn't find them.
