Police arrested a 61-year-old Tulsa man for allegedly shooting, killing his neighbor Friday evening.
They say he is Stanley Majors.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 9300 block of 85th East Avenue just before 7 p.m. They arrived to find a 37-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police Sgt. Dave Walker said after talking with witnesses, they learned the victim's neighbor, Stanley Majors was the suspect and had run away after the shooting.
Officers located and arrested Majors outside the Hardesty Library in the 8000 block of East 93rd Street where he was hiding behind a tree.
