Oklahoma City Police arrested a south Tulsa dentist for murder Wednesday.
Dr. Bert Franklin was arrested in south Tulsa and he is at the detective division being questioned tonight.
Police say Franklin is a suspect in the death of 1-year-old Lincoln Lewis. They say he's the son of a woman Franklin is dating.
The toddler first went to an Oklahoma City hospital on Sunday with a suspicious skull fracture. His injuries were so severe he was flown to a Tulsa hospital where he died.
Franklin's practice is called Signature Smiles at 65th and South Yale. His website says he's a Tulsa native and Victory Christian School graduate.
News On 6 previously reported a story on Little Lincoln in November.
He was born months prematurely and had to wear a cranial helmet and an artist had decorated it for him to make it more personal.
His father made a post on Facebook, saying his boy had fought so hard these past 18 months to overcome countless problems, but two evenings ago, he was struck in the head, cracking his skull, causing a massive brain injury.
“He's been robbed of a wonderful, long life,” the post said.
Our sources tell us Franklin is married and has children of his own.
Police are not saying what his motive might have been in hurting Lincoln.
The medical examiner's office completed the toddler's autopsy, but cause and manner of death are still pending.
Franklin was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaint of first-degree murder. He'll then be extradited to Oklahoma County.
