The Tulsa Police Department has been awarded a $400,000 state grant from the Oklahoma Attorney General's office to fight violent crime.
According to Chief Chuck Jordan, the money will allow the department to continue to address emerging criminal trends in four areas for the next 12 months:
“Their help has played a major role in some of the most significant operations to reduce criminal activities in these areas over the last few years. The Tulsa Police Department is honored to have been chosen to receive this award and looks forward to continuing its efforts in these areas with assistance from Attorney General Pruitt’s office,” Chief Chuck Jordan said.
