A wave of church kids is heading off to Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center this week for camp, continuing a tradition that started shortly after statehood.

In downtown Tulsa, First Baptist Church was sending more than 160 middle and high school students this morning.  The scope of the operation is such that the luggage requires moving vans, in addition to the bus loads of children.

One year ago, Falls Creek was evacuated after flash flooding surged through the camp near Davis. The damage to the camp has since been repaired. The forecast is for clear, but hot weather is expected this week.
