Police released the names of the two people found shot to death in an SUV at a north Tulsa park Tuesday morning.
Officers say Markey Goff, 26, and Meshawna Jones, 32, were found dead in the front seats of a Ford Explorer. Police said two small children who were also at the scene and were unharmed.
Police tell News On 6 they are investigating the deaths as a double murder. They don't have any leads on suspects or a timeline for the crime as yet.
Authorities responded around 6:15 a.m. to Chamberlain Park in the 4900 block of North Frankfort.
The bodies were discovered by someone out for a walk, according to police. The older child, a boy around 5 years old, came up to the person and said his mother was hurt. That person then called police.
Views from Osage SkyNews 6 HD showed two victims in the front of the black SUV. The person in the driver's seat was a woman, and the passenger a male, according to Osage SkyNews 6 HD pilot Will Kavanagh.
The smaller child was removed from the back seat of the SUV and is a 1-year-old boy, according to police.
EMSA paramedics cared for the two children in an ambulance on scene. The children are being interviewed by Tulsa Police Child Crisis detectives.
Loved ones have shown up at the park, very distraught. .
