The jury convicted Vernon Smith Thursday night in the murder of Chazz Holly. It recommended a life sentence. Smith then told the judge he wanted to be sentenced immediately so the judge sentenced him to life in prison.
Holly, 27, was missing for weeks before his body was found along a highway south of Antlers on Sunday, July 19, 2015.
