There is a new warning about how you could cause major damage to your vehicle when you visit the gas station.  The problem is picking the wrong fuel by using the color of the nozzle.

AAA Oklahoma says there are no legal requirements for gas stations to coordinate on the color of their fuel nozzles.

That means diesel fuel may come out of nozzles that are green, while other gas stations may have red, yellow or black nozzles.

Buyers of E-85 fuel blends can potentially be caught in this situation according to Chuck Mai because yellow pump nozzles are often used to dispense this type of fuel.

AAA says it's always important to take an extra second and make sure you're grabbing the right nozzle.
