Before the draft, former OU defensive end Charles Tapper said he just wanted an opportunity to play at the next level and Saturday he got what he asked for.
Tapper was drafted in Round 4 as the 101st pick by the Dallas Cowboys.
Upon hearing the news, Tapper tweeted, “America team baby. Thank you so much d Dallas Cowboys! Yall will get everything I have in me to be great!”
After a solid career with the Sooners, Tapper ran a 4.59 40-yard dash and recorded 23 reps on the bench press during the NFL Combine.
The speedy DE with high-motor skills is expected to be a beneficial member of the Cowboys’ line unit.
